How does vulnerability vary across a City?
The VAMPIRE can analyse all the Statistics New Zealand meshblocks for a particular city or study area. The results can then be mapped to show the variation in scores. This enables the identification of households that are most vulnerable to rising mortgage rates, fuel price and inflation. This is a valuable tool to identify current and forecast changing vulnerability.

Two examples are provided below for the cities of Dunedin and Palmerston North. Those areas with high scores i.e. a high degree of vulnerability, are displayed in orange or red (indicating higher risk) and those with low scores are shown in green (indicating lower risk). Areas with an average score are shown in yellow.

If you would like high resolution VAMPIRE maps for other parts of the country customised to suit your specific requirements, including comparisons against areas outside of your city or town, contact Steve Abley for a quotation.
